A Queensland Based Drilling Company

S&K Drilling is a Queensland based drilling company established in 1985 by Stephen & Karen Reynolds. Stephen the managing director of this company has been permanently involved in the drilling industry since 1970.

S&K specialises in coal exploration drilling. The nature of our activities places particular emphasis on experience, expertise, capability, reliability and quality. The major objective of our management is to supply the required service in a cost efficient operation, to precise specifications, meeting the customer requirements.

We are situated in Pittsworth Qld, 35kms from Toowoomba and operate throughout Queensland and some parts of New South Wales. Our drill equipment is tailored to suit industry needs, combining new technology with tried and true practices. Through the many years of experience, S&K Drilling have come to find processes that allow work to be carried out in the most safe, practical and thorough manner.

Our drillers have gone through “apprenticeship” style training on the back of a drill rig, starting out as offsiders, progressing to trainee drillers after receiving 12/18 months of experience. This enables our drill crews to undertake work unsupervised and with full confidence that the job will be carried out safely and efficiently.

S&K Drilling currently have 5 drilling rigs with a variety of capabilities including PDC and hammer chip, HMLC, 4”, 6”, 8” and 10” conventional coring, HQ coring, as well as large diameter holes and water bores. All S&K rigs are accompanied by a heavy rigid truck that carries an auxiliary air compressor, drilling water, diesel and PVC casing as required.

S&K have developed a close working relationship with two site preparation and rehabilitation contractors that understand the industry requirements and standards, and knowledge of our site layouts and set-up preferences.

Our company has a strong emphasis on supporting the local communities sourcing material and onsite supplies whilst drilling.
